Maria has her BS in Advertising Design and has spent the 27 years in the field of Graphic Design, specializing in print design and production. She has won local and regional AAF Addy Awards for her logos, letterhead and ad designs. She was chosen to design the official Wyoming State Centennial Logo.

Maria also is an award winning fine artist, known for her lush botanical paintings done in pastel, oil and watercolor. Maria is a past president and a signature member of The Pastel Society of the West Coast, a nationally recognized art organization based in the Sacramento area. Her work has been featured in the national publication The Pastel Journal, including a feature article about floral painters. In 2005 Maria won a second place in the Still Life/Floral Category of The Pastel 100, a national competition sponsored by The Pastel Journal. The Pastel 100 edition of the Pastel Journal (April of 2006) includes Maria’s painting and article.
